Most people here already know what a private cremation is, local crematories are well established and families rarely feel they have to explain why they want their dog's ashes home.

Most of the decisions after a dog's death are yours to make. The exceptions are burial and scattering, which England and your local council or city may regulate.
In the UK, the Competition and Markets Authority has pushed vets to show cremation prices and offer a communal option, so it's reasonable to ask for a price list. You can also contact an independent pet crematorium directly; many publish prices online and collect from home.
