Most people here already know what a private cremation is, local crematories are well established and families rarely feel they have to explain why they want their dog's ashes home.

What the seasons mean for aftercare in Cardiff

Before you bury or scatter in Wales
Pet crematories themselves are lightly regulated in many places, so it's up to you to ask good questions about identification and private cremation. What rules in Wales mostly cover is what happens next: where a dog can be buried and where ashes can be scattered. The notes below cover the main points; your vet or local council can confirm anything specific to your address.
In the UK, the Competition and Markets Authority has pushed vets to show cremation prices and offer a communal option, so it's reasonable to ask for a price list. You can also contact an independent pet crematorium directly; many publish prices online and collect from home.
